Mojo package 🡭

aggregation

Estimates computed from raw observations: group means, counts and fitted residuals, rather than values supplied per category.

One of the mark families #524 groups the package into. Nothing is re-exported here: call sites name the module they need, and the public API is re-exported from dataviz/__init__.mojo, unchanged.

Modules

  • barplot: barplot(): bars of an estimate per category with its uncertainty, the first chart here that computes an aggregate rather than draws one (#350).
  • clustermap: clustermap(): a heatmap whose rows and columns are reordered by hierarchical clustering, with the tree that did the reordering drawn along each edge (#355).
  • jointplot: A bivariate chart with each variable’s own distribution beside it (#354).
  • lineplot: lineplot(): the estimate per x of repeated measurements, drawn as a line with a band for its uncertainty, and the reason that chart can take a dataset where a plain line() cannot.
  • pairplot: Every numeric variable against every other, in one grid (#353).
  • pointplot: Mark.POINTPLOT and pointplot(): the estimate per category as a point with its interval as a whisker, joined across categories: barplot()’s estimate with a lighter glyph.
  • residplot: residplot(): the residuals of a linear fit against its fitted values, the standard check on whether a straight line was the right model.
