Mojo package 🡭

binned

Counts collected into bins or cells rather than plotted per observation.

One of the mark families #524 groups the package into. Nothing is re-exported here: call sites name the module they need, and the public API is re-exported from dataviz/__init__.mojo, unchanged.

Modules

  • hexbin: Mark.HEXBIN and hexbin(): a 2D histogram over a hexagonal lattice – continuous (x, y) points counted into hexagonal cells and drawn as colored hexagons. The lattice tiles the plane without the axis-aligned artifacts a rectangular grid shows on diagonal structure, which is the reason it exists alongside hist2d().
  • hist2d: Mark.HIST2D and hist2d(): a 2D histogram – continuous (x, y) points binned into a rectangular grid of counts, drawn as colored cells, so a point cloud too dense to read as a scatter shows where it concentrates.
  • histogram: Histogram binning and one-call chart helpers.
